Day 3
Total amount of miles covered today: 80
Total miles covered: 237
A Tale Of Mis-shapen Rubber
We started the day by visiting the largest British war memorial in the world at Thiepval where we all found assumed relatives amongst the 72, 000 Commonwealth soldiers lost at the Battle of the Somme.
In other news, Tom nearly missed out on a blow out resulting in him having to wait an hour on the side of the road while French women offered to service his machine (mostly men he confirms).
For lunch we stopped in the town of Ham, where we indulged in sandwiches with ham in them. It couldn't have been any other way.
The rest of the afternoon was rather normal. Apart from Windell's chain snapping 500m before our hotel and an hour that we spent getting lost on the MEAN streets of Soissons...
Meatballs and pasta for life, and not just for Easter.
