Hola a todos!

Con gran alegría y luego de muchos mails de ida y vuelta, de llamados por teléfono y telepatías, Inés finalmente arribó a destino y se puede decir que las piezas de este engranaje ya comienzan a funcionar.

La pobre de Inés, después de 24 horas de vuelo en vuelo ha llegado desfigurada del sueño, pero siempre con su gran sonrisa en su rostro. Con la noticia de que su maleta no venía con ella, no nos quedó otra que irnos a
un merecido descanzo.

Hoy nos dispusimos a hacer las compras y demás detalles correspondientes de la expedición y se podría decir que ya estamos casi listas. Nos acaban de avisar que la maleta de Ines a llegado, yupi!!!!!!!!!

Nos queda unas 2 horitas hasta la base donde opera Icefield Discovery, el monomotor que nos llevará a la base de la montaña más alta de Canadá, el Monte Logan. Si todo sale bien, mañana partiremos hacia nuestro objetivo, con la idea de subir por el filo Este de la montaña, un estético filo de cuchillo como le dicen por aquí y luego descender en esquies por la ruta normal o King Trench.

Los invitamos a todos a acompañarnos en esta nueva aventura que recién comienza, con su apoyo y sus mensajes, que siempre son un buen empujoncito para el espíritu en los días de espera.

Hello to everyone!!

With a lot of joy, after many many mails back and forth, skypes and telepathies, Ines finally reached Yukon’s lands and we can say that the pieces of this machine are starting to roll.

The poor girl reached the Whitehorse airport with a face transfigured by the fatigue left by four planes and almost 24 hours of flight (not without crazy crying babies at the side!) But she knows how to keep always her characteristically big smile.

The bad news started at once, Ines’s bag with all her expedition equipment didn’t reached her plane and got stuck in Vancouver, so we could do nothing but to take a deserved rest in Whitehorse and wait for it to arrive the sooner the better.
Today we bought the food and some final details and we can say that we are ready to go. And really ready because we have just received the great news that the Ines bag is here!! Yupiiiiii!!!!

We have still a two-hour drive up to the base where the Icefield Discovery operates, the mono-engine plane that is going to leave us at the base of the highest mountain in Canada, the Mount Logan. If everything works out well, tomorrow we will be flying towards our objective with the idea of climbing its east ridge, an aesthetic knife edge ridge as they call it here, and descend in skis by the classic King Trench route at the other side of the mountain, completing the travers.
