The expedition got underway when the team left the Ventura trailhead, 1hrs
dirt track 4wd trail above the town of Lanjaron in the Sierra Nevada. The
weather was clear and unusually warm for December. The weather forecast is
good for the coming week and there are no avalanche dangers. The group are
aiming for the Refugio de Caballo tonight.
