…Sono le 4:15 di mattina, apro un occhio, sento da sotto le coperte lo sferzare del vento e qualche iceberg che urta la chiglia della barca. Anche oggi uscire sembra difficoltoso, aspettiamo che si calmi un po’ il vento e che la visibilità aumenti leggermente. Decidiamo di lasciare la barca alle 11:00 ma il meteo non sembra migliorare. Ci ritroviamo nell' Astudillo Glacier salendo verso il Dallmeyer Peak in una tormenta simile a quella di ieri. Nonostante il mio naso sembri un peperone a causa del vento gelido e le mie mani hanno meno sensibilità di un manico d’ombrello, tutto mi sembra perfetto, la nebbia, il vento, il freddo rendono questo posto ancora più misterioso e selvaggio!…però se domani l’Antartico ci regalasse un po’ di sole non sarebbe male!
