De Skardu a Askole en vehículos todo terreno el día 23.

Los expedicionarios han trajado duro para que hoy este todo esté preparado e iniciar el último tramo de aproximación en vehículos, por la espectacular pista terminada de abrir en 1991, que discurre por laderas montañosas sobre el río Indo y que en 8 horas los llevará a Askole última aldea habitada. Para iniciar la aproximación a la montaña caminando y acompañados por la caravana de porteadores. Desde Askole el río Braldo abre la puerta del Glaciar Baltoro, por el que discurre la mayor parte del camino hasta la base de los Gasherbrum.
