Estamos en Samagon--la última ciudad antes de escalar a campamento base manana. Ayer, dijimos "danibad" o gracias nuestros 18 porteadores. Ayer, en la manana despertamos en medio del caos---75+ portedores organizando cargas a campamento base. Ya que este año habrán mas de treinta expediciones en la montana porque China cerró los permisos para otros ocho miles. Nosotros organizamos nuestras cargas para campamentos altos y nos hemos entretenido con los niños. Ciao pescao!.

We are here in Samagon--the last village before moving up to basecamp tomorrow. Yesterday we said "danibad" or thank you to our 18 porters who helped carry our gear this far, 9 days and 60 plus miles. This morning we awoke to a chaotic mass of 75 + porters gearing up with loads headed to basecamp for the more than 30 expeditions on the mountain this year, after China closed permits to other 8000 m peaks. We spent yesteday organizing gear and food for our higher camps. We are enjoying the local interactions with the Nepali poeple--especially the little children.
